Effects of Flooding and Heat Disasters on Older Adults

For older adults (greater or equal to 65 years old) who experienced a flood or extreme heat event in the past 10 years (2010-2020).

This study involves completing an online survey that will take 5-10 minutes. 

1. Describe the environmental hazards encountered from a flood and/or extreme heat event.

2. Determine the health impacts from a floods and/or extreme heat. 

3. Describe the combined impacts of encountered environmental hazards and health impacts from a flood/extreme heat.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Adults at least 65 years old who experienced a flood or extreme heat event in the past 10 years (since 2010).
  • Able to read and write in English
